Sunday morning
11.8.09 - I dunno how many of you out there in the cyber world own horses, but we do. Four equines, to be exact, three Tennessee Walking horses and one "gaited" mule. I was always a horse crazy little girl and basically never grew up in that one respect. Anyhow, my dear husband and I just got back from a tiny road trip. He spun the F-450 w/ 35 ft. camper/horse trailer around in our driveway we went to Iowa. We took 2 horses with us and did a bit of scouting at Sunderbruch Park. The address is 4500 Telegraph Road. The city of Davenport owns the park and it is big with bicycle riders and horse folks. I heard about this park through my Red Boots group. (Requirements to join Red Boots - be female and own a horse.) www.REDBOOTSSOCIETY.com will get you local info.
This is Ms. Jade doing baby horsey public relations. Kissing kids is always a winner.
The bane of fall has to be ladybug and box elder bug invasions. Yeah, I know, they aren't really ladybugs, but come on. The little orange suckers pinch, too. AND both the lady bugs and the box elder bugs smell awful if you forget and squash 'em.
