Red Hair or Only Your Hairdresser Knows

Golly, I've been reading about poisons in hair dye.  I'm 50 somethin' and, when I got a new driver's license, one of the questions was, hair color...and I truly have NO IDEA.  I haven't seen the actual color of my hair in 20 or so years.  AND I'M NOT GONNA FIND OUT.  I truthfully cannot remember if I wrote red or brown or blond.  I am pretty sure that my hair is actually none of the above.  Crap, some parts of getting older stink.

I'm just going to blame it on Karen Woolley.  She is my next door neighbor and is a fantastic hair stylist.  Last time DG & I got haircuts Karen played with my hair.  I was tickled when she told me that she didn't have many clients who would allow her to play with their hair.  I said, what the heck, it will grow.  Karen said, "I knew you would say that."  I have thoroughly enjoyed being REALLY a redhead.  I hope that she does the REALLY red again.  It was tons of fun.  Not necessarily realistic, but I don't care.

Karen is also very careful so that I do not ingest hair dye or get it in my eyes, ears or snoot.  I asked her about henna (good, healthy stuff) to make my hair red and was told that it doesn't cover grey.  Once again - crap.

Well the DG and I are gonna be well groomed for Christmas.  I wanna dye DG's grey away but he tells me that he earned every single grey hair.  (He also says that I'm responsible for many of them.)  Tuesday, Karen, who knows the truth about my hair, will make the DG tidy and she will play with me.  I'm looking forward to it.
